Education has been important to me throughout my life, which is why I now tutor students who struggle with academic subjects. I worked hard through grade school, and even became valedictorian in high school before being accepted to Brown University, one of the top schools in the nation. Because I worked hard to teach myself even the toughest subjects, other students started coming to me for help with their own classwork in math and science courses. I have a knack for explaining information in a clear way and applying the subject to the individual student's life. I know it can be frustrating to master higher math concepts like complex math equations, but it can be very rewarding when the information finally clicks into place and makes sense. I really enjoy watching my students succeed after they begin to master a subject that once seemed overwhelming. For the past four years, I've worked as a tutor with a focus in physics, statistics, chemistry, math, English, and standardized and college test preparation. Study techniques for tough topics like math apply to tests like the SAT as well. I work closely with my students on their perceived weaknesses so that they can discover their full potential.
